We clean the stuff that isn't supposed to get dirty

Corporate marketing leadership. Growing other people’s companies, making other people money. It was good work and I learned a lot. But the tools to go build your own thing got a lot more accessible, and once you notice that, it’s hard to un-notice.

So I’d rather build something that belongs to my family. My kids go to school here. They’re being raised here. The East Valley is where we actually live, and I’d rather help make this place work than commute into somebody else’s org chart. Call it putting down roots. Pun absolutely intended.

As for why turf: I like this work. Yard projects, house projects, anything where you start with a mess and finish with something that looks right. Turf cleaning is exactly that. You show up to a yard that’s rough, you leave it clean, and it’s done the same day. Nobody schedules a follow-up meeting about it.

I have also spent time downwind of a yard with a dog and a lot of turf. If you know, you know. That is the entire business case, and it’s the reason I’m not worried about finding work.

So that’s it. A local guy who likes the job, does it himself, and takes it personally when a yard smells like regret. If yours has reached the point where you apologize for it before anyone walks out back, that’s my whole business. Let’s go fix it.
